UPDATE Station Lift Install at Barnt Green Train Station 2025

The lift installation is due to begin on Saturday 25th January 2025.  Please see link below that shows a video of the process.  The lift towers will be assembled in the car park and there should always be some limited station parking.  Access to the ticket machine in the Platform 4 car park will be retained during the work.  While part of the platforms are cordoned off, only 4 of the 6 carriage doors will open.  Work will take place at night/weekends.  The installation should be complete by 31st August 2025.

 NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF U21411 TWATLING ROAD, BARNT GREEN, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

Reason for restriction: Gas Escape. There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with B4096 Old Birmingham Road to its junction with Warren Lane (NSG Ref 04701140).

This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days; however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 7 days (24hrs) commencing 11 December 2024.

Alternative routes: B4096 Old Birmingham Road, U21419 Lickey Square, U21411 Twatling Road (part) and vice versa.

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.
